Kim came to the Gordon Law Firm as an associate attorney in 1995 after graduating from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law.  She practices in a variety of areas including real estate and financing, business entity structuring, contracts, local government law, wills and estates.  Kim also represents clients in several civil litigation areas including personal injury, contract claims, construction and construction defect claims, family and juvenile law, and real estate disputes.  Kim has been appointed on numerous occasions to various Guardian ad Litem and Special Master positions by the Judges of the Northern Judicial Circuit.  She also serves as an Intermediary for Internal Revenue Code §1031 real estate exchanges.  Kim is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Northern Judicial Circuit Bar Association, having served at its President, Vice-president and Secretary/Treasurer. She is also a member of the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia, a public service foundation of the State Bar which recognizes by invitation four percent of the active members of the Bar whose public and private careers demonstrate outstanding legal abilities and devotion to their communities.  Supporting her invitation therein is her activity in her community including having been a member of the Board of Directors of the Hart County Chamber of Commerce, its volunteer Chair of Tourism, the Chamber’s Volunteer of the Year, the inaugural and subsequent March of Dimes WalkAmerica committee for Hart County, graduate of 1999 Leadership Hart, 2000 Leadership Hart Alumni Secretary, an attendee of the Georgia Academy of Economic Development, Reader for Hart Partner’s America Reads Program, American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, Trustee and Chair of Elberton First United Methodist Church’s Board of Trustees, and a volunteer in its Children’s Ministries Program.  Kim, her husband, Alan, and their daughter, Lila, reside in Elberton, Georgia.   They own a local business operated by Alan and enjoy various church activities, tending to their gardens and orchard, boating on the lake, and trips to the beach.
